The site takes its name from its previous use as a public convience dating back to the early 1900's. More recently, it has been used as a restaurant, being home to Prezzo, Wok N Grill and laterly a Japanese style resurant, Kashi.

Three years ago the site was redeveloped into retail space on the groud floor and residential apartments on the first floor. At this time Safecontrol installed an audio intercom and access control system, TV aerial distribution system and telephone cabling throughout the apartments. The latest redevelopment, which is due to complete this week, has seen the ground floor fully converted into apartments. Safecontrol were contracted to install comparable systems, integrating the new apartments with the existing.
