Wireless LAN is an increasingly popular solution when wiring physical network points is not feasible or possible. Wireless LAN or WLAN works by providing a network and/or internet connection through a wired access point, utilising the technology of radio frequency and/or infra red. It allows electronic devices to exchange data wirelessly over a computer network.
Wireless offers an alternative where wiring is not possible. Furthermore, its implementation can be integrated into your existing wired network enabling both wired and wireless connectivity; creating increased flexibility. WLAN networks can be utilised in both internal and external environments. Where multiple buildings require connectivity to the same network of where fibre cabling is not an option, wireless bridges can be installed to enable connectivity. Typical environments in which we have installed wireless technology includes: schools and college campuses, temporary buildings/extensions, multi user offices, marinas and caravan/holiday parks.
